APRO Remodeling & Construction was selected to provide specialized selective demolition services at the newly acquired BioNTech cell therapy and R&D facility in Gaithersburg, MD. Formerly operated by Kite Pharma (a division of Gilead Sciences), the site was repurposed to support BioNTech’s expansion in individualized cancer immunotherapy programs and TCR cell therapy production in the U.S.

Our work focused on preparing key interior spaces for high-tech upgrades by carefully removing targeted partitions, outdated equipment structures, and non-structural elements — all without disrupting sensitive facility infrastructure.
